Why do people have to be so freaking hateful?

I mean come on! Can we not be civilized and kind to each other on this wonderful website that we all know and love? Just because you don’t agree with someone, that doesn’t mean that they’re wrong, or deserve to die, or are a bitch, or anything like that. If you don’t agree with someone’s political views: fine. If you don’t agree with religion: don’t hate on ALL religions. I find it rather offensive when people start saying things like, “Religion. Ruining lives since forever.” So can we please all just play nice?
